Introduction: The purpose of this meeting is to openly share information and discuss the project and assumptions prior to the solicitation being issued. This is the first of two planned pre-solicitation calls scheduled for this contract. The second call will be scheduled for **7 January 2019, and a separate agenda will be distributed prior to that call. Any items discussed are subject to change, and the final solicitation set should be reviewed when posted. This is now a planned dredging contract, and all communication regarding this contract should go through the proper channels.

Preliminary Schedule:

· Advertise Late-January 2019

· Award Mid-March 2019

· Work commence May-June 2019 Projects and Preliminary Order of Work: (All quantities estimated)

· Humboldt Bay, CA (HUM)

· 700kcy (BASE)

· 400kcy (OPTION)

· In-water placement; HOODS

· Columbia River (LCR)

· 800kcy (BASE)

· 800kcy (OPTION)

· In-water placement; various locations in the CR

· Mouth of the Columbia River (MCR)

· 1.5mcy (BASE)

· 550kcy (OPTION)

· 300kcy (FWB)

· In-water placement; NJS, SWS, DWS Special Considerations:

· Increased East/Gulf Coast work load could mean June arrival of hopper dredge to West Coast. This could require two separate episodes of dredging at HUM, ie one early in the contract, and one at the end. Anticipate an optional incremental mob/demob if it becomes necessary.

· Potential for additional work areas. Currently considering SF Mainship Channel, and Coos Bay. Grays Harbor likely to not be included due to work window and new environmental monitoring.

Q&A:

Q- HUM guy Option for 400kcy=bar and entrance? Yes.

Q- Fred @Manson Open windows to all HUM @ one shot would be helpful Or alt. bid to include GRAYS would be announced at award. They'd like to bid on GRAYS up front (Apr/May) and now entrainment monitoring is a concern, but will consider.

Q-Mike @ GLDD- Additional work areas? GRAYS?

SF MSC=possibility Idea to alleviate pressure of work areas in spring (delay of dredge, E delays to repair) GRAYS would be difficult, sturgeon monitoring CB another option Would like to know up front for the bid -entrainment monitoring=please elaborate " basket 3-4 cy capacity to monitor" screen size could be a challenge, please get POC in NWS info to Mike, NWS to talk about monitoring. Approximately 1/4" screen size currently, like turtle with flow diversion. @ discharge end of hopper.

Q- Columbia River increment mile calculations. Transferring between 2 different cuts hasn't changed much. The biggest change for last year was haul mile increment +/- system bid based on ~5mi over=credit and under = charge.

Q- What is the scope sequencing?

HUM (maybe all in June?) to CR to MCR to CR (adv. Maintenance)

Q- E location/schedule @same places? Likely be similar for CR then stagger one @bar and not in close proximity on R. them head to CB when KTR @ bar. Could be some times that they overlap areas.
