Design Narrative
The project design intent is to follow the Task Order Statement of Work program and building design concept. The team will focus on creating an atmosphere that is environmentally-friendly and ergonomic. The design intent for the furniture layout gives the space adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change over time.
The selection of interior finishes address the functionality of the space and enhance the aesthetic design intent. Colors, finishes and accessories have been selected to contribute to the health and sense of well-being of the building users and to create an identity for the building, while also addressing considerations for durability and life-cycle costs.
Furniture was provided for its functionality, ergonomics, durability and aesthetic features. The systems furniture combines a fence wall (power & data), work surface, personal/file pedestals, privacy panels, triple monitor arm, and CPU holders to create a custom work space. Consideration was given to the chairs by selecting seating for the expected duration of occupancy by one person. Seating that will require at least eight hours occupancy will have fully adjustable seating with multi-directional moving arms that will allow for comfortable seating and also allows full adjustability and movement. All chairs shall have hard wheeled casters to complement the carpeting floor finishes.
The interior design project goal is to provide a well-designed, sustainable, and comfortable environment that enables the users to perform at their best. We recognize the commitment of establishing good sustainable goals early in the stages of programming and design and then carrying these goals forward through the means and methods of construction. Through the selection of appropriate interior material and construction practice these goals can be achieved.

Take necessary precautions to ensure that roof openings and other critical openings in the building are monitored carefully. Take immediate actions required to seal off such openings when rain or other detrimental weather is imminent, and at the end of each workday. Ensure that the openings are completely sealed off to protect materials and equipment in the building from damage.
3.5.9.1 Building and Site Storm Protection
When a warning of gale force winds is issued, take precautions to minimize danger to persons, and protect the work and nearby Government property.
Precautions must include, but are not limited to, closing openings;

3.7 TEMPORARY PROJECT SAFETY FENCING
As soon as practicable, but not later than 15 days after the date established for commencement of work, furnish and erect temporary project safety fencing at the work site. Maintain the safety fencing during the life of the contract and, upon completion and acceptance of the work, will become the property of the Contractor and be removed from the work site.
3.8 CLEANUP
Remove construction debris, waste materials, packaging material and the like from the work site daily. Any dirt or mud which is tracked onto paved or surfaced roadways must be cleaned away. Store any salvageable materials resulting from demolition activities within the fenced area described above or at the supplemental storage area. Neatly stack stored materials not in trailers, whether new or salvaged.
3.9 RESTORATION OF STORAGE AREA
Upon completion of the project remove the bulletin board, signs, SECTION 01 50 00 Page 9 barricades, haul roads, and any other temporary products from the site.
After removal of trailers, materials, and equipment from within the fenced area, remove the fence that will become the property of the Contractor.
