GOVT ANSWERS TO INDUSTRY

NUMBER QUESTION ANSWER

We do not see an estimate of how many meals we will be serving per DFAC per day. Please separate by meals served in the DFAC and those served in the field.

The solicitation has been amended to refect CLINs

001AA, 0001AB, 0002AA, 0002AB from hrs to personnel to clarify this question.

In the PWS it states we are to prepare, package, deliver, and serve meals to the field. It also states we are to provide a truck for these services. On page 52, Workload date for the DFAC it shows 2 meals to be prepared and served in the DFAC with MREs issued at the breakfast meal. Please clarify are we serving MREs or using Mermite containers to transport the lunch meal to the field?

Packaged meals wil l be prepared (mermite) in the

DFAC for pick up by requesting unit. Contractor will not deliver. Please reference PWS para.

3.11.3.

If we use Mermite who delivers the meals to the field and who serves?

Unit will pick up and return mermites to DFAC.

Unit will serve meals. Please reference PWS para. 3.11.3.

We understand we can submit our proposal electronically but not sure as to whom it is sent. Is there a specific individual or do we send to all three individuals l isted in the solicitation?

Send all proposals to al l three individuals l isted on 52‐212.1 Addendum section 3.

Will the Government provide a safe in the DFAC for the securing of funds?

A safe will be available in the DFAC.

Can you confirm that are requesting both a hard copy proposal and electronic proposal?

See 52.212‐1 Addendum section 2.

7 Will an email submission of proposal be acceptable? See 52.212‐1 Addendum section 2.

We understand that this contract is a new contract and therefore there are no existing employees. Will this location be under a union, l ike the other food service employees at Fort Stewart are, or will the employees be hired without an union? In the case of non‐union employees, we will price based on the wages on the

Wage Determination from the Department of Labor. In the case of union employees, then we need the collective bargaining agreement to price their correct wages and benefits.

With this being a new requirement, there is no existing union.

9 Will the contractor have an office space on site? Yes, office space is available in each facil ity.

We understand that there is no historical figure for meals served since this is a new contract. Could you please provide the projected number of meals the contractor wil l have to serve per meal period? The only number figure we can based is the total seating capacity of each building, which we think is not accurate representation of true diners.

The solicitation has been amended to refect CLINs

0001AA, 0001AB, 0002AA, 0002AB from hours to personnel.

Could you please confirm the building H1 and H2 are identical? We saw that they have the same specs in the technical exhibit.

H‐1 and H‐2 are identical facil ities.

12 Will you publish the site visit attendee list? Will will not publish the site visit attendee l ist.

The CLIN 0001AA and 0001AB cover the same days but different time periods, 0001‐0600 for 01AA and 0601‐

0000 for 01AB. The DFAC opens at 0600 with the prep time prior to the opening. Please confirm that the CLIN

01AA covers the prep time before 0600 begins for breakfast service and the CLIN 01AB covers the rest of the day from 0600 through the dinner service and its clean up afterwards.

The solicitation has been amended to refect CLINs

0001AA, 0001AB, 0002AA, 0002AB from hours to personnel.
