Responses to Questions.
1. I was looking at this notice ID and could find a start date.
A. The period of performance dates are listed in the solicitation beginning on page 37.
2. I have a sub-contractor that wants to set up a site visit, is there anything next week or the week after that would be possible?
A. The date and time of the site visit is on page 47 of the solicitation.
3. Will they be able to visit every single location so that they could provide a more accurate quote?
A. Yes, this is the main purpose of the site visit.
4. Has anyone signed up for the site visit yet?
A. Yes, several Parties have indicated they will be in attendance.
5. I have a question concerning the frequency of Mini Mall. In the solicitation W9124A23R0002, it states Charley's/Pit Stop to be cleaned Quarterly and Popeye to be cleaned monthly. Charleys has been on a monthly cleaning schedule (and in our opinion needs to stay that way, just due to the amount of grease in ducts, fans and filters). The new Pit Stop needs to be monthly (if not sooner, the buildup in just two weeks is phenomenal). and yes, Popeye needs to be monthly. If we could get clarification on this it will help us with our bid proposal.
A. The frequency of cleaning meets the minimum standard for a restaurant of that size. However, the government may decide to increase frequency based on input from the Safety Inspector & the Fire Department. If the frequency is increased by modification after contract award, the contractor may submit an equitable adjustment for the increased frequency.
6. Can you please tell me how would you like your proposal to be submitted?
A. Addendum 52.212-1 begins on page 46.
7. Would one (1) Job represent 12 months of service or a single service?
A. Each Job would indicate a single service.
8. Is 1-2 million of insurance enough?
A. Yes.
9. Are they paid each month by whatever cleaning was needed for the month or are they paid a specific amount each month?
A. The contractor is paid by the frequency that they submit invoices for the scheduled service. This can be monthly or in the case of small businesses every two weeks.
10. Is it possible to know who was doing the work prior and how much?
A. Yes, It is currently being serviced by J&D Steam Cleaning for $246,250.00. Period of Performance (POP) 01 Dec 2017- 30 Nov 2022.
