W911YU‐16‐T‐0002: TELECOMMUNICATIONS Q&A
April 14, 2016
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q1: Has a contractor performed similar work to this for the government in the past? If available, please provide the incumbent contract number.
A1: There is no contract currently providing these services to the government.
Q2: If unable to provide a contract number, is it safe to assume this is a new requirement for the government?
A2: This is a new requirement for the government.
Q3: There's an indoor coverage requirement in specific locations for this solicitation. I'm kindly requesting that a walkthrough be granted for each location.
A3: Walk-through’s will be conducted, as needed, during the post award phase.
Q4: There’s a requirement for “…4G LTE or higher coverage in Guam and the Marianas Islands, Palau, and the Federated States of Micronesia” (Some destinations do not have 4G LTE currently available). If 4G LTE services aren't currently part of an offeror(s) roaming agreement, will 2G / 3G be acceptable?
A4: Offeror(s) must indicate specific locations where 4G LTE coverage is not available and make note of the speed(s) currently available in that particular location. Furthermore, offeror(s) must insure that devices are capable and remain fully functional for their intended purpose while operating on networks less than 4G LTE.
Q5: Can you confirm if a document needs to be signed acknowledging the amendments which we can also put in our bid submittal.
A5: Offeror(s) must acknowledge receipt of amendment(s) to the solicitation by one of the following methods.
1. by completing blocks 8 and 15 of the amendment and returning 1 copy to the issuing office (most common);
2. by acknowledging receipt of this amendment on each copy of the offer submitted;
3. by separate letter or telegram which includes a reference to the solicitation and amendment numbers.
