Questions and answers #2
Question 1. The 90 day delivery, is that the delivery of the first article for testing or the complete order?
Answer 1. The 90 day delivery window is for final delivery of all items under contract. Unless otherwise instructed by the ERDC, vendors will be required to submit a representative first article submission consisting of 1 half-size FRP or 1 full size panel for destructive first article testing. Test turn around for first article submissions is typically one week or less from the receipt date of the first article submission. Vendors should make a first article submission with ample time to receive results back from the ERDC and still meet the 90 day final delivery deadline. It is recommended that the vendor not undertake full-scale fabrication efforts until the first article testing is completed. The Government reserves the option to perform any combination of the first article tests described in the description of requirement or none at all.
