Deliveries or Performance

Pgs. 35 -

Number of Days for Delivery

The offeror requests the delivery schedule be revised to allow for a minimum of 240 days for CLIN 1001AA through CLIN 1027AA OR revise the verbiage to allow offerors to submit alternative delivery schedules that may fall outside the delivery period specified and still be considered responsive.

Answer: Delivery schedule for CLINs 1001AA through 1027AA will be revised from 90 days to 120 days in Solicitation Amendment 001. Offerors may propose an accelerated delivery schedule at no additional charge to the Government.

Amendment: Given the current manufacturing issues due to COVID-19 pandemic the final production delivery schedule for all Year 1 items will be 310 days after award.

D- Packaging and Marking

Packaging Requirements

Pgs. 56 –

General Question

The offeror has noticed the detail and specifics listed within the packaging requirements is extensive and above average. This level of packaging, marking, and dimensional dictation will drive up costs significantly due to the extraordinary specifics being required and the inherent supply procurement and labor that will be required that has not been stipulated on similar past contracts. The offeror requests Section D be simplified and streamlined in a fashion more aligned with previous contracts for these product requirements

Answer: These packaging requirements are the specifications determined necessary by the requirements office for the items being procured under this effort. Since these are individual spare parts, the preservation and packaging methods are necessary to protect the items for global transportation and potential long term storage at various locations.

Amendment: The level of preservation must be met for each item in accordance with the packaging clauses and regulations. The dimensions and weights are approximations given as a guideline to follow.
