Question 1:

Is it necessary to test the gas lines that are not being used?

Answer:

Remove the gas lines that will not be used. Test all gas lines from the point of the first modification.

Question 2:

Will the warehouse be operational during this project? Will the contractor and warehouse staff need to be working in the same space during the same hours?

Answer:

The warehouse will be operational during the construction. Contractor will have to coordinate the construction with the base.

Question 3:

What is the gas line size for each of the heaters?

Answer:

Use the gas line size required by the heater manufacturer. Modify the existing gas line to provide enough gas to feed all the heaters. The current main gas line is 2.5 inches.

Question 4:

What is the roof height?

Answer:

Please see the drawing below. The current heaters are about 14’ from the floor and there are about 14’ until the roof ridge. The pitch is 5 to 12.

Question 5:

What do we do with the metal?

Answer:

You can recycle it yourself or throw it in the base metal recycling dumpster. Only recycling metal can be thrown in the Base metal dumpster, the rest of the debris needs to be hauled away.

Question 6:

Do we patch any holes from the previous system?

Answer:

Yes, all the holes in the ceiling tiles, walls, and ceiling must be repaired.

Question 7:

What is the warehouse size?

Answer:

The warehouse area is approximately 9,154 sf.

Question 8:

Do we paint the new gas-line yellow?

Answer:

Yes, the new gas line shall be painted yellow.

Question 9:

Is there a bid bond required for this project? I see there is a payment bond required but can’t find reference to a bid bond.

Answer:

Bid bonds are not required for this project. Only payment bonds are required.
