Drawing P-001 Plumbing Note #16 calls for the water pipe insulation to have a fire retardant vapor barrier jacket sealed with a fire resistive adhesive. Please advise if the mineral fiber factory applied ASJ jacket suffices as the fire retardant vapor barrier and please provide specifications or indicate what constitutes a fire resistive adhesive. – Does mineral fiber ( fiberglass ) insulation with a factory applied ASJ jacket simply suffice for the domestic water pipe insulation?
See specification section 220719 - Plumbing Pipe Insulation Factory- Applied ASJ Jacket should comply with ASTM C-1136, Type 1, per paragraph 2.6 - Factory-Applied Jackets. Also referenced in paragraphs 2.1.F, 2.1.F.5, and 2.1.H.2. Also see paragraph 2.7.A.7 for use of ASJ Tapes.
ASTM C1136 — Standard Specification for Flexible Low Permeance Vapor Retarders for Thermal Insulation.
Specification section 221116 3.12 – 3 list PEX tube as an approved material for the domestic water piping. Please advise if PEX is to be utilized for only pipe size 2” and below or 1” and below.

Reference Drawing AD101: Please advise if the new epoxy flooring is intended to be applied over the existing epoxy flooring. If so, please identify what type of “prep” should be accounted for.
Existing epoxy flooring to be removed. See specification section 096710 - Epoxy Resin Flooring, paragraph section 3.1.B. Concrete Surfaces shall be Shot-blast with apparatus that abrades the concrete surface with steel shot within the shot blast apparatus and recirculating the shot by vacuum pick-up to remove the weak surface layer of concrete to provide an etched surface.
Reference Drawing AE111: The interior finish Legend identifies a “speckled” pattern identifying where new epoxy flooring is required. The Finish Plan has room finish tag which look like the image below. These tags appear to show additional areas which are NOT “speckled” to receive new epoxy floor finish. Please advise if new epoxy flooring is required at only speckled areas or all areas identified by the room finish tags.
Drawing AD101 Demolition Plan states reference to the Finish Plan, AE111. Only speckled area receives ERF-2 Epoxy flooring. Rooms 220, 251, and 252 call for LVT-2 type flooring. Note under room tags for (Bid Alternate A1: ERF-2) will not be used for rooms 220, 251, and 252.

13 Due to the various roof penetrations, please advise if the current roof is under warranty.
The membrane roof was replaced in 2013 with TPO roofing, and has a ten year warranty till March 22, 2023.
Reference Drawing AE100: The following note on the drawings referenced seems to indicate that only those walls marked by a “dashed” line are to extend to the underside of the roof deck (scaled to be 24’ A.F.F.). This would mean all other partitions which do not have a “dashed line” extend up to the 8” framed platform above the ACT as shown on drawing AE300. Is this a correct interpretation of the required partition heights?
Follow wall type details shown on drawing AE100. Question stated is correct for type B6 walls, requiring 5/8" GWB on each side of framed studs, to underside of the roof deck. See detail on drawing AE111 for area of platform, B6 wall stops at bottom of the platform. Type A3 wall also extends to underside of roof deck with GWB on one side (behind showers, toilets, and lavatories). Type D3, D4, and D6 walls vary.
Type "D" walls shown with "Dashed" line along the Corridor extend to the underside of the roof deck with GWB on one side extending to the underside of the roof deck, and GWB on the other side only going 6" above the acoustic ceiling. With type "D" walls that are not dashed, will have GWB on each side of framed studs at 16" oc, to 6" above the acoustic ceiling, stud framing for these walls will continue above the acoustic ceiling to the upper roof deck at 32" oc, per wall detail notes for bracing.
Please describe the access to the work area that the contractor will have so we can determine where all construction materials loaded and debris discarded.
Storage of materials will likely be in the area being constructed and area between the large paint booth and overhead door. Dumpster to be located in front of building 3336.
Please advise how close of a proximity the contractor will be allowed to bring a vehicle to the overhead / egress doors near the work location.
Descriptions of the intended vehicles are concrete truck, pickup trucks, delivery box trucks, dumpster pickup, porta potty pump trucks, welding trucks, and small cranes for roof equipment rigging.
To be identified during Pre Construction Meeting. Preferred area for dumpster, porta-potty, and pickup trucks in front of building 3336.
Concrete trucks, rigging equipment, and larger deliveries will need to be escorted onto, and off of the flight-line side of building 3336.
