QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #4

Question#1 On the recent SOW section 11.5.18 states the following:

Contractor shall furnish and install approximately (5) rack mounted UPS systems to provide back up for all rack mounted video storage systems (VSS) equipment that shall allow the system to operate for 6 hours. The contractor shall verify UPS size based on all equipment associated with VSS in the site design.

UPS shall be located with NVR and POE equipment.

The line item entry on the price breakdown sheet states:

Uninterruptible power supply transformers, single phase 120 volt, .5KVA (which is 500watts.)

5KVA or 500 watts will not provide 6 hours of back up.

Answer #1: The Contractor needs to provide/install a power supply to meet the needs specified in the SOW - continued operation for 6 hours during a power outage. References to power sources in cost breakdown should be ignored.
