QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #3

QUESTION 1: 11.5.21 states to provide galvanized steel cable tray. Why - where is it be utilized?

ANSWER: It is our understanding that the CBT is existing within the facility and the additional 500 LF of CBL called for in documentation is intended for new runs (stairwells) supplemental infrastructure.

QUESTION 2: 11.5.17 states that long term storage is required for 30 days at 15 frames a second. This is not enough information to estimate the storage needed to properly respond/bid. Please provide the following information; what resolution is required for each camera type, is motion based recording being used, and what percentage motion should be the basis of compression.

Without this information or if this information cannot be provided - state the amount of storage in TBs should be provided across all NVRs. This paragraph also does not state the type of storage - RAID what is required?

ANSWER: Memory: This is a grey area for us and we were under the impression that as we provided the specifications for the cameras such as capabilities and record time; this would initiate a "formula" a company proficient in in this field to come up with storage (memory) capable of sustaining the requirements we set forth. We expect the motion activated cameras to be recording 80 hrs every 30 days.
