Background

Vineland is the largest city by land area in New Jersey, spanning 69 square miles. Centrally located in the lower South Jersey region, it lies between the Philadelphia/Delaware corridor and the Jersey Shore. Several major highways intersect in and around Vineland, making it a key transportation hub. Route 55, a vital north-south artery, connects the southern shore points to the Philadelphia/Camden metropolitan area. U.S. Route 40, just north of the city, and N.J.

Route 49 to the south, are also heavily traveled routes used by commuters and summer tourists alike.

Vineland is located 30 miles south of the New Jersey Turnpike—one of the nation’s most heavily traveled highways—and 30 miles west of the Garden State Parkway. The city falls within a 300-mile radius of 50 million people, placing it within a day’s drive of numerous major markets.

The city currently offers more than 700 hotel rooms, with two additional hotels set to begin construction. Additionally, it is only 45 minutes from the Atlantic City area, which boasts over 15,000 hotel rooms. Vineland and the surrounding region provide a wide range of amenities, including dining, shopping, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Vineland also has a robust recreational sports program, featuring several traveling teams. The city has hosted numerous soccer and baseball tournaments and has seen firsthand the economic benefits these events bring.
