About this file

This document is a Vendor Affidavit from Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) related to the prevention of human trafficking and labor coercion. The affidavit, based on Section 787.06(13) of Florida Statutes, requires all nongovernmental entities (Contractors) executing, renewing, or extending contracts with governmental entities to provide a signed affidavit confirming they do not engage in coercive labor practices.

The affidavit specifically requires contractors to certify they will not use physical force, illegal restraint, exploitative debt practices, document confiscation, financial threats, fraudulent enticement, or controlled substance provision as means of labor exploitation. By signing, the authorized representative declares under penalty of perjury that their company adheres to these strict anti-human trafficking guidelines. While directly connected to a Fire Alarm Inspection contract opportunity, this document serves as a mandatory compliance document ensuring ethical labor practices for vendors working with Hillsborough County Public Schools.
