About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) establishing an agreement for UniMac Laundry Sales and Service in the South Territory. The contract covers an annual agreement period from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, with pricing required to remain firm throughout this period. The supplier must be an authorized distributor of UniMac and Alliance Corporation products, with documentation of authorization required at the time of bid submission or the bid may be rejected. The exact quantities are not predetermined; instead, orders will be placed on an as-needed basis by ADOC with purchase orders providing complete shipping instructions for statewide delivery. All materials, supplies, and equipment must be new, unused, of recent manufacture, and first-class in quality. Equipment shall include a warranty covering three years on all parts and five years on the frame, basket, shaft, bearings, and seals, with warranty coverage including all parts, labor, and freight costs for repairs and replacements. Deliveries must be completed within thirty days of the supplier's receipt of the purchase order and are not accepted on weekends or state holidays.
Bidders must enter zero pricing for Lines 1, 2, and 5, which will be quoted after award and excluded from evaluation, while providing unit prices for Lines 3 and 4. Award will be made on an all-or-none basis to the lowest acceptable bidder meeting all specifications and offering the lowest overall price for the evaluated lines. All quotes must include item descriptions with current manufacturer's suggested retail prices and discounted prices, and suppliers may offer additional volume discounts for large quantity purchases. Installation is not a separate charge and must be included in equipment pricing, with delivery and installation performed to factory specifications by a local Alliance Laundry Systems distributor and including standard installation services such as delivery, set-in-place, bolting, leveling, and grouting; removal and disposal of old machines, if required, must also be included in the quoted price. The supplier bears liability for risk, loss, or damage to merchandise up to the destination. ADOC security requirements apply to all persons entering facilities, and deliveries arriving at inappropriate times may be delayed or refused at the warden's discretion, with re-delivery costs borne by the supplier.
