METROCENTER MALL – PHOENIX, AZ
Andre was the Senior Project Manager on this project. The project consisted of an asbestos survey of an entire mall, including the 4 anchor stores attached to it. The mall is slated for demolition and an asbestos survey was requested by our client. The total square footage of the mall, and anchor stores exceeds 350,000 square feet and involved multiple owners (anchor stores are owned by the individual companies).
Communication, scheduling, sequencing, all had to be coordinated with multiple entities, and at different times during the project. During the project multiple change orders were needed, as the overall scope of the project expended to include even more surrounding buildings in the greater Mall complex. Extra care had to be taken during the survey of the
Movie Theater, as it was still occupied at the time of the survey. Terracon was selected for this project as we had worked with this main client before on other high profile project, and this again was a high profile (highly visible) project.

Terracon does not have any potential conflict of interest with any state employee that would hinder the undertaking or carrying out of this contract and does not have any pending investigations with the Securities Exchange Commission. In the last ten (10) years, Terracon has not filed (or had filed against

Terracon is a large engineering firm specializing primarily in geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing, and we perform tens of thousands of projects nationwide. Given the large volume of projects we perform annually, we are subject to periodic claims and litigation. The number of claims received annually is a very small percentage of the overall number of projects performed, well less than 0.5% of the total. The majority of our reported claims are not ultimately pursued against Terracon. In the claims that are pursued, Terracon has been very successful in defending itself against claims and in many of these cases, has been able to be completely vindicated.
None of our claims have in the past impacted or are estimated in the future to impact either the financial strength of our company or the ability to provide quality services to our clients. Due to the confidentiality and sensitivity of claim information, Terracon does not provide specific information on individual claims or litigation. If you have any specific questions or concerns about this disclosure, feel free to contact us to discuss further. These claims will not have a material impact on Terracon’s ability to deliver on the contracted services per this solicitation.
As a large firm performing many projects, on very rare occasions we have terminated services on our projects prior to project completion. These situations usually arise from a failure to pay for those services, or from decisions to reduce our scope of service to the point where we are no longer comfortable, from a professional perspective, with the continuation of our services on a project.
Terracon does not have any current or past criminal and/or civil offenses.
