About this file

The document is a Task Description Document template for a federal contract opportunity with DARPA's Defense Sciences Office (DSO). The template provides a structured framework for proposing research projects, with sections for defining tasks, subtasks, objectives, locations, primary organizations, potential human or animal research, milestones, and deliverables. It is designed to support the DSO's mission of investigating high-risk, high-payoff research initiatives across scientific and engineering disciplines.

The template is specifically aligned with DARPA's Disruptioneering Program Announcement (Solicitation Number DARPA-PA-25-07), which aims to enable rapid investigation of new scientific concepts within 120 calendar days. The document allows proposers to outline research efforts in two potential phases: a base phase and an optional second phase, with detailed sections for describing technical approaches, research locations, organizational responsibilities, and expected deliverables such as data, reports, or software prototypes.
