Stickers must feature a bright orange background with black ink printing and include serially numbered identification on the adhesive side. The protective slip sheet must measure no less than 0.003 inches thick, while the finished sticker thickness must not be less than 0.007 inches. Stickers must be individually serially numbered and bound in books of 50 consecutive units with chipboard backing. All samples submitted with bids will be retained as comparison standards and subjected to rigorous testing including heat bake, dry scraping, chemical immersion, moisture exposure, cold temperature, and accelerated weathering testing. Delivery must be made to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Section at 2300 South Dirksen Drive, Springfield, Illinois 62764, during specified business hours. The State reserves the right to reject any bids, request bidder demonstration of product acceptability, and decline proposals from bidders with prior contract defaults or unsatisfactory performance history.
