About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for janitorial services issued by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Marine Resources for their Dauphin Island office located at 2 North Iberville Street, Dauphin Island, Alabama 36528. The contract solicits bi-weekly cleaning services (Wednesday and Friday) for the office facility, including hallways, main entrance, back entrances, individual offices, five bathrooms, a grate room, conference room, breakroom, and laboratory spaces. A mandatory site visit is required on September 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with Craig Newton serving as the primary point of contact at (251) 861-2882. The contract term runs from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with no renewal options specified in the available documentation.

Pricing for janitorial services is quoted on a monthly basis, with invoicing conducted monthly for bi-weekly service delivery. The vendor must provide toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, and trash liners as part of the service offering. The contract explicitly prohibits use of third-party vendors, sub-contractors, or franchises, requiring a single responsible vendor to perform all work directly. All cleaning must occur during regular business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, with work rescheduled on alternative dates if cleaning days coincide with state holidays when the office is closed. The cleaning specifications require the use of antibacterial virucide solutions for disinfection tasks, consistent cleaning staff to ensure uniformity, and weekly cleaning logs for quality feedback and review throughout the contract period. The contractor must supply their own cleaning solutions and consumables, while the government will provide paper products, trash bags, mops and mop buckets, water, and brooms or dustpans.
