About this file

This is a DAS Quarterly Dashboard Report for the State of Ohio's self-insured medical plan, Ohio Med, which provides health benefits administration data for employees and their dependents. The report presents comprehensive claims and utilization metrics for the period incurred from July 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, with claims paid between January 1, 2026, and March 31, 2026. The dashboard encompasses multiple plan options including a preferred provider organization (PPO), narrow network plan (Select), and high-deductible health plan (HDHP), tracking enrollment demographics, member composition by family status, claims summary data, and network versus non-network utilization patterns. Key metrics include average employees and members, total claim dollars, inpatient and outpatient payment analysis, employee and spouse per-member-per-month (PMPM) rates, catastrophic claims exceeding $100,000, and high-cost claimant identification and management.

The report details cost analysis by major diagnostic categories, with the highest-cost conditions including factors influencing health ($21.2 million), musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders ($19.3 million), and circulatory system diseases ($14.4 million), totaling $155.9 million in claims. Additional sections provide utilization detail by inpatient and outpatient services, preventive care screening adherence measured against HEDIS benchmarks, condition-specific programs for autism and diabetes, hospital and provider data rankings by cost and claim frequency, emergency and urgent care utilization, cost-sharing analysis including deductible and out-of-pocket maximum tracking, subrogation recovery information, and member and provider appeal statistics. The report also includes reference materials defining ICD-10 diagnosis code chapters with sample conditions, enabling comprehensive analysis of the health plan's medical spending and utilization patterns across the covered population.
