About this file

This is an internal email communication from a DLA Contracting Officer regarding technical drawings for what appears to be an F-16 panel component (NSN-7568). The email clarifies the evolution of drawing numbers, explaining that the original production part (-506) was modified to -510 and subsequently to -514 with a Center Display modification.

The Contracting Officer notes that while only the -506 Mylar drawing is available, contractors can use this drawing in combination with the -514 parts list to obtain sufficient information for production. This guidance comes after consultation with Lockheed, who acknowledged they do not consistently update Mylar drawings when new dash numbers are created. The communication is from Michelle Mihu, Contracting Officer at DLA Ogden, dated February 11, 2025.

From: MIHU, MICHELLE L CIV DLA DOD DLA-OO/AUBA To: MIHU, MICHELLE L CIV DLA DOD DLA-OO/AUBA Subject: NSN -7568: Concerning Drawings ending -506, -510, -514 Date: Tuesday, February 11, 2025 8:54:00 AM

The -506 was the production part number then modified to the -510 and the -510 was modified to the -514 with the Center Display modification. So, the only Mylar drawing we have available is the -506. I was told by Lockheed that they don’t do a great job at updating the Mylars when a new dash number is created.

So, you can let the contractors know that with the combination of the -506 drawing and the parts list for the -514, they should have enough information.

Respectfully, Michelle Mihu Contracting Officer DLA at Ogden 740-334-0201 mailto:michelle.mihu@us.af.mil mailto:michelle.mihu@us.af.mil
