Exemptions realized through the reimbursement of the tax paid take place when:

(two copies of which receive these entities).
In justified cases and after consultation/approval of the Head of Customs Office the reimbursement of the excise duty paid by the entities (US armed forces or contractor) may be done on the basis of the documents other than invoices on the condition that these documents show clearly/admittedly that the excise duty was paid on the territory of Poland by these entities for the purposes of the US armed forces.
The application for reimbursement of excise duty is submitted by the US armed forces or by their contractor to the Head of Customs Office in Łódź.
The application for reimbursement shall include:

The application for reimbursement is submitted for the quarterly periods by the 25th day of the month following the quarter for which the application is submitted.
In justified cases and after consultation/approval of the Head of Customs Office the reimbursement of the excise duty paid by the entities (US armed forces or contractor) may be done on the basis of the application submitted later than in the above mentioned due date.
The Head of the Customs Office in Łódź decides about the reimbursement of the amount of the excise duty paid. The payment of the amount of the excise duty refund shall be made to the bank account indicated in the application for the reimbursement, within 30 days from the date of submission of the application together with the required documents (lists, copy of a document, invoices). After a refund of excise duty the Head of the Customs Office returns the invoices or a certified photocopy of the invoices, or other documents to the applicant.
In cases where excise goods or passenger car are returned, and the purchaser/buyer requests a refund of the price paid, the seller returns the due amount, on condition that he had got an invoice or electronic invoices back. The seller/vendor informs the Head of the Customs Office in Łódź about the return of the products made by the armed forces of the United States of America or its contractors;
informing of the above, the seller/vendor provides an invoice or electronic invoice received from the purchaser. If the refund of the money occurs after a reimbursement of excise duty resulting from the invoices, the amount of excise duty that is to be reimbursed for the next period is reduced by the amount of excise duty that was reimbursed unduly. However where an entity does not submit applications for reimbursement of the amount of excise duty for the next period, the entities shall return the amount of excise duty to the correct bank account of the relevant Customs Chamber not later than 6 months from the date of receipt of the reimbursement of excise duty.
