AMENDMENT 3
SP8000-16-Q-0003
July 13, 2016
The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions discussed during the Pre-solicitation Teleconference on July 11, 2016 at 10:00am EST.
1. Can you clarify the plastic film thickness for the bags? We see 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm in the spec, page 3. However, in our experience with storing these metals for commercial customers, we have found that the plastic films used for bags is usually quoted as mils (0.001 inch). Should these bags be 4 mils and 6 mils? This would match what we’ve used in the past.
The Statement of Work has been updated from .4mm - .6mm to 6 Mil (thousandth of an inch) to 8 Mil.
2. On the specifications of the FerroDysprosium, the typical commercial specifications that we use for customers shows a 300 ppm upper limit for chromium, not 100 ppm as requested, and a 300 ppm upper limit for molybdenum, not 500 ppm as proposed. We would like to understand if there is a specific reason for this change from the typical commercial specification?
The Molybdenum specification will not be changed. The Chromium specification has been raised from 100 PPM to 300 PPM.
