Vendor Questions and Answers
1. Will providing OEM code updates be a requirement to be included with the service pricing or will this be an additional time and materials cost? Can you explain in more detail what a code update is? Do the code updates apply to the cooling units as well?
A: Providing OEM code updates is a requirement to be included with the service pricing. Code updates would include all updates to the UPSs to include firmware updates provided or released from manufacturer. Yes, the code updates apply to the cooling units as released by the manufacturer. Per part numbers WADVULTRA-AX-15 and WADVULTRA-PX-24 on the government purchase description, the advantage ultra service plan: free firmware upgrades. Note that this will be a firm fixed price contract with NO time and material charges.
2. How many battery modules are associated with the UPS system in Fort Belvoir, VA?
A. It is based on 40KW frame, 208 V effectively, extended run battery. As soon as you put the battery(ies) in series, they act as one battery.
