9A. AMENDMENT OF SOLICITATION NO.

9B. DATED (SEE ITEM 11)

13. THIS APPLIES ONLY TO MODIFICATIONS OF CONTRACTS/ORDERS.

IT MODIFIES THE CONTRACT/ORDER NO. AS DESCRIBED IN ITEM 14.

Amendment 0002 is issued as a result of the following:

A. To extend the Request for Proposal due date from 26 August 2016 until 30 August 2016 at 1:00PM.

B. To publish vendor questions and the Government’s responses that were received in regards to the site visit that was conducted on 15 August 2016. Questions and responses can be found below.

1. Is the Electrical Contractor allowed to use generator #1 to power ATS#1 during the shutdown?

Government’s Response: We are not sure what the contractor is referring to with generator #1 and ats #1.

There will be no use of government generators or ATS for this project. The existing generators will be locked out to prevent multiple power sources on a circuit.

2. The new switchgear will take approximately 24 to 26 weeks to arrive on site. Can the completion time be changed to reflect the delivery schedule?

Government’s Response: We have no issues with extending the date as needed.

3. In regards to the chillers, the work to replace the 4160V substation will not happen to March. Are the chillers off line or only one or two is operational? Or would all three need to be temporary connected.

Government’s Response: The system can operate on only 2 chillers. The project plan clearly dictates that only 1 chiller is to be brought offline at a time while connecting the temporary service and then again when being brought back on to normal power. All 3 chillers will need to have power during the duration of the project outside of the connection of temporary/normal power timeframes.

4. Please clarify the acronyms KVAC and KVAD.

Government’s Response: Kilo Volt Amperes Calculated and Demand.

5. Are subcontractors required to attend the VPP awareness training?

Government’s Response: Yes. It is a short video that everyone must watch and sign off on.

6. There are four electronic meters that are wall mounted. Three for the 4160V gear and one for the 480V gear. Are these required to be connected to the new gear.

Government’s Response: Yes, the meters are required to be hooked back up.

7. Disposal of the gear from the site is the contractor’s responsibility?

Government’s Response: Yes.
