About this file
This document is an Attachment to Solicitation SP3300-25-R-0004 specifying shipping box markings for E-Rations. The attachment provides precise marking requirements for the E-Rations shipping box (Material Number N00000957), mandating three specific lines of text to be printed on the top flap of the box: "FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY", "DO NOT ROUGH HANDLE WHEN FROZEN (0F or below)", and a note that "Each case contains WATER-ACTIVATED Flameless Heaters". The text specifications include precise dimensional requirements: each line is 5/16" tall, with 3/16" spacing between lines, and the total height of the three lines is 1 5/16".
The solicitation is issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, focused on procuring corrugated fiberboard boxes, liners, pads, bags, and heater container modules for Unitized Group Rations at the DLA Distribution San Joaquin, CA facility. Amendment 0002 of the solicitation extends the proposal due date to September 10, 2025, provides answers to vendor questions, and revises the shipping box markings attachment, indicating an ongoing refinement of the procurement requirements.
