Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers

QUESTIONS 1: Is this a firm fixed priced contract? Is the awarded contractor allowed to factor in future cost increases?

ANSWER 1: (a) This is a firm fixed price contract with an economic price adjustment for paperboard/packaging. The prices awarded under the contract may be revised in accordance with the Economic Price Adjustment clause, if applicable. Please reference DLAD 52.216-9066 Economic Price Adjustment – Market Prices – DLA Distribution (NOV 2011).

QUESTION 2: It looks like the estimated usage per zone is listed based on the previous year. Would these approximate quantities be shipped throughout the year or all at once?

ANSWER 2: The historical contract data was based on orders issued throughout the year. The Government’s requirements are variable throughout the year; therefore, the Government cannot answer this question.

QUESTION 3: If the answer to #3 is throughout the year then is data available for quarterly usage?

ANSWER 3: It is not available.

QUESTION 4: According to Pages 15 & 16 the response should be submitted in 2 volumes. Volume 1/section 3 should contain Attachment 1. However, on page 17, it shows Volume IV, which should contain Attachment 1. Which is correct?

ANSWER 4: Page 17, “Volume IV – Price Proposal” is corrected to read “Volume I – Price Proposal”

QUESTION 5: I do not see reference to DLAD 52.215-9027, will this bid be subject to the reverse auction clause?

ANSWER 5: There will not be a reverse auction for this requirement.

QUESTION 6: Clarification is needed on the above solicitation for single and double wall cartons. Some line items for double wall cartons have a discrepancy with the flute designation of C. C flute is single wall cartons. Please specify the correct flute if you want double wall cartons.

ANSWER 6: The double wall boxes require C flutes.
