Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract
This is a sole source action that will utilize the procedures of FAR 52.217-8 to extend the existing sole source delivery order SP330024P0558 with Ashland Industrial Services, LLC by 180 days from June 29th, 2025 through September 28th, 2025. The total additional funds required for this extension is $11,730.00.
In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) “soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting
Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.”
DLA Distribution at Susquehanna, PA (DDSP) requires elevator maintenance services. At this time, the recompete for this requirement has not been placed onto SAM.gov. The current task order’s period of performance ends 06/28/2025. An extension via 52.217-8, is required to provide sufficient time to complete the recompete award.
There are other sources capable of providing this supply. However, it is in the Government’s best interest to extend the existing delivery order to avoid a lapse in service for an additional 180 days. In the interim, a new requirement will be solicited competitively to allow all capable vendors to provide quotes; the new follow-on contract will be awarded on a competitive basis.
Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities statement of the company by
June 26th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. EST to Morgan Costanzo, via email: morgan.costanzo@dla.mil for consideration by the agency.
