About this file
This is a Sole Source Procurement Notice issued by the City of St. Petersburg, Florida for Skate Park Maintenance and Repair services. The procurement seeks specialized contractors capable of performing construction, repair, and maintenance of skate park facilities, including skate surfaces, ramps, transitions, obstacles, concrete features, and related infrastructure at Campbell Park. The specific scope of work involves demolition of a center curved ledge obstacle and installation of a new tabletop obstacle at the skate park. The release date for this opportunity is September 14, 2026, with a response deadline of September 22, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Responses must be submitted electronically through the City's procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/stpete. The City has identified Longevity Concrete, LLC as the sole source provider based on specialized experience and capability within the local service area, though interested suppliers have seven business days from posting to submit qualifications and capabilities demonstrating their ability to perform equivalent services.
The procurement is structured as a sole source acquisition, indicating that the City has determined only one identified vendor possesses the necessary specialized knowledge, equipment, and techniques required for proper skate park repair and maintenance. The City notes that utilizing contractors without specialized experience in skate park facilities could result in improper repairs, premature deterioration, safety concerns, or damage to existing features. No specific contract term, pricing, or funding information is provided in the notice. Qualified suppliers who believe they can provide equivalent services must submit supporting documentation including product information and statements of qualifications to the Procurement Analyst by the specified deadline to challenge the sole source determination.
