About this file

This document is a Single Source Justification for a simplified acquisition procedure under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to procure a replacement 14S detector for an AGFA DX-D100+ mobile X-ray system.

The procurement is a one-time requirement estimated at $39,515.20 to replace a damaged detector that is critical to the functioning of the X-ray equipment used for patient diagnostics and care. Market research determined that AGFA, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is the only source capable of providing the compatible replacement part due to proprietary design. The VA contracting officer has approved this sole source award under simplified acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is April 1, 2024.
