About this file

This Scope of Work (SOW) outlines a book printing project for Patriots Point, a South Carolina government entity. The project requires the production of 6,500 copies of "A Ship Shaped Tale," a 24-page children's book with cover, printed in full color (4/4) on 70# Husky Opaque text with a 10-point C1S cover stock. The books will be saddle-stitched and trimmed to 8.5" x 11", with digital color proofs required. The targeted shipping date is January 21, 2021, with books to be distributed to between 200 and 300 schools and distribution sites throughout South Carolina. Patriots Point will provide distribution addresses and quantities for each location, along with shipping label information. Any overprint or excess books are to be shipped to Patriots Point Education Department at 40 Patriots Point Road, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina 29464. The bid deadline is December 23, 2021. Bids must be submitted online through the South Carolina procurement portal at https://procurement.sc.gov/doing-biz/submitting-offers. Technical questions regarding the SOW should be directed to Keith Grybowski at 843-789-9604 or kgrybowski@patriotspoint.org.

The bid price must include all printing costs in compliance with specifications, handling fees, and shipping coordination to multiple distribution sites. Vendors should quote for books packaged in standard single-wall cartons with 60 books per carton, with flexibility on books per shipping box (minimum 30, maximum 45). Any additional fees required if the number of shipping locations exceeds the targeted range of 200 to 300 sites should be included in the bid. Patriots Point will provide a USPS account number for vendors to charge all shipping costs. Content will be provided in PDF format upon bid award. The award will be given to the responsive vendor submitting the lowest bid.
