Scope of Work

Remove/Replace/Install Doors

Dorst Creek Campground & Lodgepole Campground

Sequoia National Park

Introduction/Background/Objectives

Sequoia National Park, located in Tulare County, California has a requirement for removing old doors and replacing with new doors in campground comfort stations at the Dorst Creek

Campground. There is also the requirement for the adaptation of the current historic doors on comfort stations in the Lodgepole Campground, so that they can retain their historic value and architectural features but prevent wildlife from entering the comfort station(s). The doors at the

Dorst Creek Campground and Lodgepole Campground are two separate campground areas in the Giant Forest District of Sequoia National Park. The potential contractor shall perform the work described above at each of the campground locations and supply all materials, tools, labor, and equipment.

All doors, hinges, and door hardware shall be removed and replaced with solid core, latching doors at the Dorst Creek Campground and the new doors must swing to the outside. The total number of doors to be removed and replaced in the Dorst Creek Campground is 26.

The existing doors on the historic comfort stations in the Lodgepole Campground must be adapted to swing to the outside. There are14 doors that need to be adapted to swing to the outside of the building(s) in the Lodgepole Campground.

All doors, hinges and hardware shall be supplied by the contractor. Lock sets shall be re-used from old doors but replaced in-kind if necessary.
