About this file
This document is a Schedule L - Benefit Comparison and Actuarial Attestation for a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS) for HMO health coverage (medical and prescription drug services) for the Medicare-Eligible Members and non-Medicare Eligible Members, including Retirees, beneficiaries, COBRA participants, and Dependents, of the Michigan Public School Employees' Retirement System (MPSERS). The RFP requires bidders to provide detailed benefit information, including hospital care, alternatives to hospital care, emergency services, surgical services, doctor office visits, preventive services, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, durable medical equipment, and hearing coverage, as well as an attestation of actuarial equivalence from a certified actuary or underwriter.
The contract resulting from this RFP will have a term of one (1) year, with four (4) one-year renewal options, and will cover MPSERS members in Ingham County and the City of Lansing. Bidders must submit their proposals in accordance with the requirements outlined in the RFP documents, which include a revised Schedule M with census data. The RFP does not specify any set-asides or incumbent information, but it does outline the pricing terms for traditional and specialty prescription drugs, as well as the medical deductibles, coinsurance maximums, and out-of-pocket maximums for both Medicare and non-Medicare eligible members.
