About this file
This is a map document from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Forestry depicting the Withlacoochee State Forest Richloam 24/25 Saw Palmetto Frond Sale, specifically detailing Area A, which encompasses approximately 6,173 acres. The map illustrates a proposed harvesting area within the state forest, showing major roads (such as SR 50, US 301, and various forest roads), forest boundaries, and the specific saw palmetto frond harvesting zone, which is shaded in dark gray.
The map provides a detailed geographic overview of the harvesting area, including numerous forest roads like Blue Sink Road, McKinney Sink Road, and North Boundary Road that intersect or border the designated zone. The document is dated 4/16/25 and includes a scale measurement in feet, with a north-oriented layout. The map appears to be a planning and operational document for a sustainable forestry resource extraction project, specifically targeting saw palmetto fronds within a defined section of the Withlacoochee State Forest.
