About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the provision of Cadence software licenses to NASA Glenn Research Center in support of the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) communications subsystem design and verification activities.

The requirement encompasses two specific software products: Visual System Simulator: Advanced (part number VSS350ESC) and Microwave Office: PCB Advanced E (part number MWO226ESC), with one unit of each needed. Both items are designated for local installation at NASA Glenn Research Center, located at 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44135-3127. The software is critical to Intuitive Machines Inc.'s ongoing PPE communications subsystem work, enabling NASA's PPE communications team to verify and validate design files, support independent modeling activities, and characterize system performance during major design changes. The performance period extends from June 30, 2026, through June 29, 2027, with the work supporting the SR-1 Freedom mission targeting a November 2028 launch on an aggressive schedule.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

Intuitive Machines Inc., the prime contractor for the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE), uses Cadence software for their communications subsystem design and link simulations. The files used for the design and simulations are delivered to NASA as part of a contractual requirement. The NASA PPE communications team uses these files to verify and validate the design, and to update inputs used in independent modelling of the communications subsystem. Access to this application is important to support the aggressive timeline of the SR-1 Freedom mission, targeting a November 2028 launch. Major design changes are being made, and this software is important to being able to characterize system performance.
