About this file

This is a Statement of Work for software licensing procurement to support NASA's Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) communications subsystem development.

Intuitive Machines Inc., the prime contractor for PPE, uses Cadence software for communications subsystem design and link simulations, with deliverables provided to NASA for verification, validation, and independent modeling. The NASA PPE communications team requires access to this software to meet the aggressive timeline of the SR-1 Freedom mission, targeting a November 2028 launch. Given that major design changes are underway, the software is critical for characterizing system performance.

The procurement requires two specific software licenses: (1) VSS350ESC Visual System Simulator: Advanced – Time Based Subscription, quantity 1, and (2) MWO226ESC Microwave Office: PCB Advanced – Time Based Subscription, quantity 1. Both must be the most recent versions available at time of the Statement of Work. These are new license requests with a Period of Performance of one year from the date of award.

Statement of Work:

Intuitive Machines Inc., the prime contractor for the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE), uses Cadence software for their communications subsystem design and link simulations. The files used for the design and simulations are delivered to NASA as part of a contractual requirement.

The NASA PPE communications team uses these files to verify and validate the design, and to update inputs used in independent modelling of the communications subsystem. Access to this application is important to support the aggressive timeline of the SR-1 Freedom mission, targeting a November 2028 launch. Major design changes are being made, and this software is important to being able to characterize system performance.

This procurement is for the most recent version of Visual System Simulator and Microwave Office as of this SOW

VSS350ESC Visual System Simulator: Advanced – Time Based Subscription - QTY 1

MWO226ESC Microwave Office: PCB Advanced – Time Based Subscription – QTY 1
