About this file
This is a contract agreement between Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and a contractor for the McMillan Road and McDermott Road Signal project located in Meridian, Idaho. The project involves installing a traffic signal at the intersection of McMillan Road and McDermott Road, with associated work including asphalt widening along McMillan Road, installation of pedestrian ramps, pavement striping, pavement markings, and related improvements. The contractor must coordinate with Canal Ada and the City of Meridian regarding a concurrent sewer project in the area, while ACHD Traffic Operations will handle traffic signal installation and all electrical work. Work is to commence within five calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, with a substantially complete date of approximately October 28, 2026, predicated on issuance of the Notice to Proceed on or about September 7, 2026. The completion date will be extended one calendar day for each calendar day of delay in issuing the Notice to Proceed.
The contract amount is to be determined (TBD) based on estimated quantities provided in ACHD's bid documents and unit prices proposed by the contractor. Final contract amount will be calculated using actual quantities of work performed or contract quantities at the proposed unit prices, adjusted for any approved change orders. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day apply for work remaining incomplete beyond the contract completion date. The contractor must pay or secure all applicable state and local taxes, excises, and license fees, with a Public Works Tax Release from the Idaho Tax Commission required as a condition precedent to final payment. A Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to the full contract price, are required.
