Specifications for Caterpillar C27 Tier 4 Final Emission Compliant Engine
GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office (YAO), has a requirement to purchase one (1) NEW Caterpillar C27 Industrial Tier IV Final Emission Compliant Engine. This new engine will replace the current Caterpillar C27 Tier II engine which is non emission compliant that powers a booster pump. The new engine shall be a compatible replacement for the current Caterpillar C27 Tier II Engine with Serial Number TWM02368 and Arrangement Number 350-5502. The new engine shall be a direct replacement that will bolt up to the existing booster pump gear case and fit in the existing booster pump framework and enclosure with minimal to no modifications.
Engine Characteristics and Specifications Contractor must provide one (1) new, fully functional, and safe Caterpillar C27 Tier 4 Final Emission Compliant Engine.
27 Liter engine family.
Industrial “A” continuous duty cycle.
EPA/CARB Tier 4.
1800 RPM.
800 BHP.
Side mounted turbos.
Rear facing exhaust.
SAE NO. 1 flywheel and bellhousing.
Radiator w/ guarding.
56” suction fan.
99 liter oil pan.
24 volt electric starting motor.
Dual air inlet.
Air cleaner w/ dual element.
65 amp charging alternator.
Messenger display w/ digital tachometer.
Instrument panel.
Throttle position sensor.
Coolant level sensor.
Electronic control module with wiring harness.
Structural steel base with wide front engine support and rear engine support.
One printed copy of each: operators, service, and repair manual.
CONTRACTOR SERVICES
DELIVERY
A. Yuma Area Office, located at the 7301 S. Calle Agua Salada, Yuma, Az. 85364, within 240 days of the contract award date. Delivery hours are Mon. thru Fri., 6:30am to 3:30pm.
B. The contractor must protect all parts/equipment from corrosion, deformation, dents, dings, scratches, ruptures, breaks, punctures, abrasions, cuts, and other types of damage during storage, handling, transport, and delivery.
COMMISSIONING & TRAINING
C. The contractor must provide Pre-Startup Inspection, Start-Up Service, and Caterpillar T4F Engine Audit.
