GENERAL PHASING NOTES

A. Temporary partition to structural deck above. If temporary partition cannot be built to deck due to utilities above the ceiling a fire retardant plastic may be used from the suspended ceiling to the structural deck to seal up construction area and enable a negative air construction zone.

B. Coordinate all work involving the generation of excessive noise so as to occur during non-peak operating hours, 1000 to 1600 daily.

Activities to occur during this time include, but are not limited to saw cutting, jack hammering, hammer drilling and core drilling. If there is any question as to whether an operation should occur during this time the Contractor will contact the COR.

C. Coordinate phase completion with requirements as set for by COR to maintain daily operations to near as normal as possible.

D. Coordinate access to all phases of construction, deliveries, and debris removal with the COR. See General Requirements.

E. Temporary door locations and sizes are as required by the General Contractor. Doors will interfere with daily operations as little as possible. All temporary doors shall be accessible to maintenance personnel to gain access to maintenance rooms inside construction areas. Coordinate final door locations with COR.

F. All existing doors to surrounding a construction phase must be sealed to prevent the passage of smoke. Install plastic zipper walls at all entrances to construction phases.

G. Existing utilities shall remain in operation during construction.

H. Provide and maintain negative air pressure inside construction zone.

I. All marked exits shall be maintained throughout construction. If an exit is required to be blocked temporary signage must be installed to direct to the nearest exit. Coordinate closing of exits with COR.

J. Verify proper fire stopping is installed at penetrations of rated walls.
