About this file

This document contains bid questions and answers for the City of Monroe's Rowe Road Gas Main Replacement project. The project involves installing approximately 8,500 feet of natural gas main on Rowe Road, using roll/coil pipe rather than stick pipe. The new main will be installed on the west side of the road, the same side as the existing main. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled, and while lane closures will be needed for parts of the job, no lane closure permits will be issued.

The technical specifications indicate that tracer wire (but no ditch tape) will be required for open-trenched sections, EF branch saddles can be used for reg station tie-overs, and creek crossings must be deep enough to prevent fracking. The City of Monroe will handle service relights and provide service cards to the low bidder. All materials will be stored at and picked up from the city yard, where removed equipment must also be hauled. No steel welding is required, but SRCS qualification and OQ records are required for all fusers working onsite.
