About this file

This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs for a fence installation project at the Illinois Veterans' Home - LaSalle. The project requires the installation of 50 linear feet of 8-foot tall black aluminum fencing with a 4-foot swing gate, and the removal and hauling away of an existing 5-foot steel fence. The vendor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation, and must offer a 1-year warranty on the labor and the manufacturer's warranty on the fence. A voluntary walkthrough is scheduled for September 19, 2018, and quotes must be valid for 180 days from the date of submission. The agency reserves the right to reject all offers, award by item or in whole, and accepts "or equal" submissions that meet the required specifications.

Pricing terms stipulate that all quotes must include shipping and handling, and no price increases will be accepted. The agency will award the contract to the vendor with the lowest total bid. Vendors must comply with prevailing wage requirements, and the agency may partially ship equipment in case of delays on the total order.
