About this file

This Request for Quotations (RFQ) #429531 is issued by the City of Oakland, California, through the Office of the City Administrator for the procurement of commercial-grade kitchen equipment. The City seeks to retrofit two community centers—DeFremery Recreation Center (1651 Adeline Street) and Clinton Park Community Center (655 International Blvd)—with specific equipment for a one-time purchase with no renewal options. The RFQ specifies 20 distinct equipment items with exact manufacturer names and model numbers, including refrigeration units, cooking equipment, dishwashing units, ventilation systems, and sink fixtures from manufacturers such as True, Garland, Eurodib, Thermaco, Captive-Aire, Imperial, Globe, GSW USA, and Atosa USA. Equivalent makes and models are not acceptable. Contractors must deliver equipment within 4-5 weeks of purchase order receipt, with no installation services required, though haul-away and disposal of existing equipment must be offered as an option. Questions are due by Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and bid proposals must be submitted by Monday, September 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM through the iSupplier online portal. Award decisions will be based on lowest bid from multiple qualified vendors meeting RFQ requirements.

Proposals must include detailed equipment specifications, warranty information, lead times, and delivery charges. Contractors must hold an active City of Oakland Business Tax License Certificate and meet all city insurance requirements as outlined in Schedule Q. The City intends to award purchase orders to multiple qualified vendors based on lowest bid evaluation. All RFQ documents, including addenda, are available exclusively through iSupplier registration at no cost; hardcopies are not available. Prospective bidders are responsible for registering in iSupplier, downloading all documents, verifying completeness, and monitoring for addenda or updates. Questions should be directed to Procurement Buyer Santiago Nocito at snocito@oaklandca.gov or 510-238-7563. Submissions must be made through iSupplier, as email submittals will not be accepted, and late submissions are not permitted.
