About this file

This document is Addendum #2 for RFP SSU 2025-05 Housing Software System issued by Salem State University. The addendum modifies two key aspects of the original Request for Proposal: first, it updates the contract term language to clarify that vendors are encouraged to submit 3-5-7 year proposals with multiple pricing options available, and the initial contract term will be a three (3+) year term expiring on June 30th with two potential one-year extension options at the university's discretion. Second, the addendum changes the proposal due date from Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 12:00 pm (EST) to Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm (EST), providing bidders with a slight extension to prepare their submissions.

The addendum does not introduce substantial changes to the underlying procurement requirements but provides additional flexibility for vendors in structuring their contract term proposals. By encouraging 3-5-7 year proposal options and explicitly stating vendors should include multiple pricing scenarios, Salem State University appears to be seeking comprehensive and adaptable solutions for their housing software system procurement. The minor adjustment to the proposal due date suggests a potential need for additional preparation time by potential bidders, which could indicate complexity in the software system requirements or integration challenges.

Addendum #2

1. From Q&A Question #20

Delete:

20. Page 22 of the RFP states, “The initial term of the contract shall be for a three- and one-half year (3.5) contract term expiring on June 30, 2027. If deemed in the best interest of the university, this contract will have two (2) additional one (1) year option to extend at the discretion of the university.” StarRez’ standard approach is a 3-year or 5-year term. Would these two pricing models be suitable for the pricing proposal?
