About this file
This document is an attachment to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a federal contract opportunity. The attachment, titled "Attachment A - Specifications", outlines the detailed technical requirements for the CMS Disk Storage Server being procured by the Department of Energy Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
The key requirements include: Intel Xeon or AMD EPYC processors with at least 32 cores and 3.25GHz clock speed, 4GB memory per thread, dual enterprise-grade SATA SSDs, 24 enterprise-grade SAS HDDs configured in two RAID 6 arrays, dual 10GbE and 100GbE network adapters, redundant power supplies, rackmount chassis, IPMI v2 support, and compatibility with RHEL/CentOS/Alma/Rocky Linux versions 8/9. The vendor must provide a spreadsheet with system details, configure the IPMI interfaces, label all machines, and ensure consistent firmware versions across components. A 5-year onsite warranty is required, and Redhat Certification and ISO 9001-2006 certification are preferred.
