About this file

This is Addendum #1 to RFP #27-SCPS-004 issued by Stafford County Public Schools in Virginia for the local textbook adoption of Family & Consumer Science materials for grades 6-12. The addendum clarifies that sample copies of primary textbooks with ancillary resources must be received by October 9, 2026. Stafford Schools offers three culinary specialization courses with current enrollments of 64 students in Culinary Arts I, 57 in Culinary Arts II, and 19 in Culinary Specialization. The district requires eleven sets of materials for middle schools (one set per school site plus three public-review sets across eight middle schools) and nine sets for high schools (one set per school site plus three public-review sets across six high schools), all to be delivered to 31 Stafford Ave., Stafford, VA 22554. The proposal package may be submitted electronically through eVA or directly to the Procurement Department at procurement@staffordschools.net by the specified deadline.

Print textbooks are not required but the district requests the option to purchase physical copies; digital-only instructional resources are fully eligible for evaluation and adoption. One sample submission may cover multiple courses if the same instructional resource is proposed across courses. Vendors must provide formal written correlation and alignment documentation demonstrating how submitted materials align with Virginia Department of Education Career and Technical Education Course Competencies and Workplace Readiness Skills. The addendum includes a revised Attachment C questionnaire requiring offerors to specify sample formats, course titles, textbook updates, years of online access availability, digital integration protocols (Google sign-on, Clever, or Canvas), administrator portal capabilities, professional development offerings, references from other district adoptions, and alignment documentation with state competencies. Vendor demonstrations, presentations, and interviews are not permitted during the evaluation process, and vendors need not be present during the public review period.
