About this file
This is Addendum #1 to Request for Proposals RFP-26-7 issued by the Canaveral Port Authority for Landscaping Services on an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) basis, effective December 23, 2025. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents and must be acknowledged by bidders on their Bid Form by addendum number and date, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification. The original solicitation seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive landscaping services including routine maintenance, seasonal landscaping, hardscape and irrigation system installation, soil testing, pest management, tree maintenance, and emergency response services. Proposals are limited to 10 pages and must be submitted by January 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST, with the selection committee meeting scheduled for January 14, 2026, and final Board of Commissioners approval expected on January 28, 2026. The contract will have a base term of one year with one optional one-year renewal period, and multiple firms may be selected to provide the outlined services.
The key modification in Addendum #1 removes the Professional Liability Insurance requirements previously listed on page 11, Tab 6 of the original bidding documents. Qualifying bidders must maintain a valid Florida business license, have been in business under the same name for at least three years, and hold Commercial General Liability insurance of $1,000,000, Umbrella/Excess Liability of $5,000,000, and Business Automobile Liability of $1,000,000. Evaluation criteria include capabilities and current workload (30 points), rates and fees (25 points), past record of experience (25 points), and proximity to Port Canaveral (20 points), for a total of 100 possible points. Pricing will be established through contractor-submitted pricing schedules including hourly rates for labor, equipment and vehicles, plus percentage markup on material costs. No minimum contract value is guaranteed, and work will be issued through purchase or task orders. Employees working in secured port areas must obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) badging at the contractor's expense.
