About this file
This is an addendum document for Coppin State University's RFP 0002-26 for Dining Services, containing operational information and campus details relevant to the dining services contract. The addendum includes floor plans for five dining and retail locations: Talon Dining Hall & Eagle's Nest C-Store, Tawes Diner (with separate first and second floors), Faculty & Staff Cafe, HLHHS Building Retail (currently operated as Einstein Bros Bagel), and the College of Business Lounge with concessions. Additionally, the document provides the CSU Academic Calendar for 2025-2026, identifying key operational dates including the fall semester beginning August 25, 2025, and ending December 9, 2025, with spring semester running from January 26 through May 12, 2026. The calendar also details summer camps and conferences scheduled for 2025, including programs such as the Ailey Camp Baltimore (375 attendees, June 30-August 8), Dual Enrollment Program (160 attendees, July 7-August 8), and the Student Bridge and Mentoring Program (158 weekday and 125 weekend attendees, July 6-August 15), which will require meal service coordination.
The document outlines CSU's resident meal plan structure, which is mandatory for all on-campus students and includes three traditional options: Gold Plan (anytime access plus $150 dining dollars and 10 guest passes), Silver Plan (anytime access plus $100 dining dollars and 6 guest passes), and Bronze Plan (anytime access plus $50 dining dollars and 3 guest passes). Off-site housing residents may select traditional plans or board supplement options ranging from 10 to 75 meals with corresponding dining dollar allocations. Retail sales data from January 2024 to January 2026 shows total transactions of $778,450, with dining points ($347,934) and credit cards ($331,832) representing the primary payment methods, while concession and retail sales are tracked separately. The meal plan deadline is the Friday before each semester begins, with a change window extending through the second week of the semester, with students automatically defaulted to the bronze plan if no selection is made.
