About this file

This Request for Information (RFI) from the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics Directorate seeks industry input to establish a Qualified Supplier List for Cricothyrotomy Kits. The RFI details requirements for two types of kits: a Simplified Bougie Assisted Open Surgical Technique Kit and a Field/Tactical version. Both kits must include specific components: a cuffed and flanged airway (6mm or 7mm ID), an obturator or stylet, #10 safety scalpel, 15FR gum elastic bougie, "News" type tracheal hook, 10cc transparent Luer syringe, and airway securing device. The Field/Tactical version additionally requires a nylon bag/pouch.

Vendors must provide detailed information about each component, including manufacturer name, part number, country of origin, component descriptions, and any supply chain backlogs. The government seeks information about packaging (peel pack), customization capabilities, and timelines for customized kits. Responses must be submitted via email to the MMESO Clinical Analyst (Andrea Honesto), MMESO Project Manager (David Sheaffer), and DLA Contracting Officer (Tara Perrien). All products must be latex-free, and vendors must include their current product catalogs with submissions. The government notes this is for market research only and not a request for quote or proposal.
