About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) seeking a comprehensive parking management software solution. The project, valued at $500,000, aims to develop a computer-based system for both visitor and staff parking reservations, with key requirements including real-time sitewide parking availability, smartphone/tablet compatibility, and advanced reservation and check-in/check-out capabilities. The software must support features such as visitor parking reservations linked to site access, staff parking eligibility verification, enforcement dashboards, administrative reporting, and automated notifications.
The RFI solicits detailed information from potential vendors by September 17, 2025, with an anticipated RFP issuance in January 2026. The project will initially launch as a pilot with select parking spaces and lots, with future expansion potential. Vendors are requested to complete a comprehensive company information form detailing their technical capabilities, business activities, and parking management experience. The RFI emphasizes that this is an information-gathering exercise, and responding does not guarantee future contract opportunities. The project is associated with the Department of Energy and will be managed by Procurement Specialist Dianna Thomas.
