About this file

This document outlines requirements for a high volume sequencing system procurement. The Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground seeks to acquire one NextSeq 2000 sequencing system from Illumina, along with a silver support plan. The system must be capable of producing up to 330 megabases of data from a 48-hour paired-end run with 150 base pair reads. It must fit on a standard laboratory benchtop and include reagent kits for various sequencing applications including whole genome, amplicon, RNA, and metagenomics. The platform should have a track record of producing quality publications for organisms with read lengths at or below 150 base pairs. Responses to solicitation number W911QX-24-Q-0047 are due from offerors by the date specified.

Government’s minimum technical requirements:

· Produce up to 330 Megabase (Mb) of data from a 48 hour 2 by 150 base pair (bp) run.

· The sequencer should fit on a standard laboratory benchtop.

· The manufacturer shall provide compatible reagent kits for flexible run formats (whole genome sequencing, amplicon sequencing, library sequencing, Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) sequencing, transcriptomics, metagenomics).

· The sequencer shall be capable of automated paired-end sequencing.

· The sequencing platform shall have an excellent track record of producing quality publications, especially concerning organisms with low (less than (<) 35 percent (%)) guanine and cytosine (GC) content.

· The sequencer shall have adjustable read length from 50 to 300 bp.

· The sequencer shall produce high quality data with Quotient factor scores (Q-scores) greater than or equal to (>=) 30 at two (2) by 150 bp read length.
