About this file

This is a Q&A Release document related to an As-Needed Aquatic Growth Control Services Request for Statements of Qualifications issued by the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation. The RFSQ seeks qualified contractors to provide aquatic weed and algae growth control services for multiple county lake facilities under a consolidated Master Agreement. A Contractor's Conference was held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at The Arboretum of Los Angeles County, Palm Room, 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, California 91007, with attendance strongly recommended though not mandatory. Statements of Qualifications were due no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation, Contracts Division, 1000 South Fremont Avenue, Unit #40, Building A-9 West, 2nd Floor, Alhambra, California 91803. A contact list for scheduling site visits was provided at the contractor's conference.

Minimum contractor qualifications include possession of a valid California Pest Control Business License, an Agricultural Pest Control Advisor License (Category E), and a Qualified Applicator's License (Category F), along with a minimum of three years of experience within the previous five years providing aquatic weed and algae growth control services. Contractors were encouraged to submit questions prior to or at the conference, as responding to inquiries after the event may not be possible. Statements of Qualifications received after the initial submission deadline would be evaluated following the execution of initial Master Agreements.
